For the first time in Australia, a major carrier has initiated an integrated solution, bringing together router vendors CISCO Systems and 3COM and hardware distributor Lan Systems to provide a complete Internet communications package.
Cable & Wireless Optus has unveiled its fully integrated and packaged Internet solution for all business markets.
Optus E-Solutions creates a "one stop shop" for Internet and Internet Protocol (IP) by offering a full range of business services, network and access provision, web hosting, content provision and e-commerce enabling.
NetAccess Business Connectivity Packages are key to the E-Solutions offering. These pre-configured packages incorporate communications links, customer hardware and ongoing maintenance, making connecting to the Internet simple for small to medium businesses.
"The Optus Internet strategy is to be a major player in all elements of the Internet and IP markets and E-Solutions is the first step," said Chris Weston, Director of Multimedia, Cable & Wireless Optus.
"Traditionally businesses involved with the Internet have had to deal with many suppliers to get themselves up and running - ISPs, hardware vendors and web designers. E-Solutions offers a complete and streamlined Internet solution with cutting edge technology. The broad, modular nature of E-Solutions also provides business with the flexibility to tailor their requirements."
"For example, one of the E-Solutions products Optus NetHost offers design, maintenance and hosting a website in a single, cost effective solution. Customers have one point of contact to provide a complete service and are supported by our business-only service centre 24 hours a day, 7 days a week," said Mr Weston.
The E-Solutions product range includes Optus NetHost and Optus NetAccess.
Optus NetHost features and benefits:
- Scalable hosting solutions including website design and construction
