Cable & Wireless Optus announced to the market on 27 September that it is conducting a structural and strategic review.

The review is considering options for the future ownership of the company's three divisions, Mobile, Data & Business Services and Consumer & Multimedia.

As part of this review, the company will shortly circulate an information memorandum to a number of parties which have expressed interest.

The company is therefore informing the market of this material fact.

The information memorandum will invite parties to lodge non binding indications of interest in the acquisition of all or part of the company.

The company expects to receive indications of interest before Christmas.

The company will make further announcements as material information comes to hand.
