Cable & Wireless Optus is joining the Olympic celebrations by turning its North Sydney headquarters into the centrepiece for a giant lighting spectacular.

Stephen Cameron, Director Corporate Marketing, Cable & Wireless Optus said, "We have hired the same experts who crafted lightshows for the Opening and Closing ceremonies to bring our building to life.

"The show incorporates more than 30 giant spotlights on the ground and rooftop of the Optus building and will feature ever changing floating coloured light sculptures.

"The spotlights on the Optus building will turn from white to gold as Australians win gold, so each night you can see how our medal tally is growing.

"We hope all the people of Sydney will share the Olympic excitement with us and enjoy the fun of the light extravaganza," said Mr Cameron.

The lightshow begins the night of the opening ceremony, and can be seen every night from sunset to midnight until the closing ceremony on 1 October.
