Paul O'Sullivan, Chief Operating Officer, said today that the ACCC's statement on the Optus and Foxtel content supply arrangement is not particularly surprising and was consistent with what the ACCC had told the parties.
In its media statement, the ACCC stated it believes the Optus and Foxtel content supply agreement is likely to breach the Trade Practices Act - in its present form.
"This is a typical stage in the ACCC's process. The statement expressly notes the ACCC is in continuing discussions with the parties," Mr O'Sullivan said.
"Optus will continue to work with Foxtel and the ACCC with a view to agreeing changes to modify our agreement to obtain the ACCC's approval.
"We remain confident the ACCC will approve the agreement once we deal with its concerns," he said.
