Optus today announced a further boost to its GSM network in Victoria with two new mobile sites at Deakin University Warrnambool and Warrnambool East.
The additional sites will increase the depth of coverage for the people of eastern Warrnambool and visitors to the area.
Allen Lew, Managing Director Optus Mobile said, "Warrnambool has benefited from Optus' $90 million investment in Victoria to extend the GSM network and facilitate carrier choice.
"Optus is investing heavily in ensuring people who work and live in regional areas can have access to a high quality network anywhere, anytime.
"Over the previous 12 months, Optus has demonstrated its commitment by installing new sites at Port Campbell, Dixie and Hummocks as well as 30 other sites in South West Victoria," Mr Lew said.
This coverage expansion is part of the Optus strategy to provide the largest GSM network on the east coast of Australia.
