Optus continues to lead the way with innovative solutions for Small to Medium Business (SMB) with today's launch of new mobile rate plans tailored to the needs of different sized companies.
The 'yes' Business One offer is designed for businesses using up to three mobile phones, and the 'yes' Business Fleet suits medium sized businesses with a fleet of up to 50 mobile phones.
"Small business operators have specific mobile needs - many are on duty 24 hours a day, call mobiles often as they need to get in touch with people quickly, repeatedly call the same contacts, use SMS and demand competitive standard call rates," said Stuart Tucker, Director of Marketing, Optus SMB.
"Above all, small businesses want a simple solution to their telecommunications needs - without having to trade off one feature for another.
"SMBs are not all the same. In very small businesses you often call the same contacts repeatedly, so we are providing great rates for the numbers they call the most.
"In medium sized businesses your fleet needs to keep in regular contact each other - so we offer free 20 minute calls, SMS and MMS between the fleet - 24 hours a day. So no matter how your employees keeps in touch, we have it covered. They are also likely to regularly contact a fixed line number, such as head office or dispatch - so we now offer 40c calls to a nominated fixed line number and free calls, SMS and MMS within your fleet," Mr Tucker said.
Both plans feature mobile rates of just 10c per 30 seconds plus flagfall. Customers can choose from a wide range of subsidised handsets or bring their own.

The plans are available from 14 August 2005 via Optus World, all other Optus retail outlets and Optus Business Direct (OBD).
