Optus announced today a further boost to its network coverage in New South Wales with the installation of a new mobile site at Forest Hill.
The new site will increase the depth of coverage for the people of Forest Hill and visitors to the area.
The expansion of coverage facilities provides local residents with a real alternative to other carriers and allows current Optus customers to use their mobile phones in more places in the region.
Warren Hardy, Managing Director Optus Consumer said, "The new facility will enhance Optus' GSM network coverage in Forest Hill as well as towards Alfredtown and Wagga Wagga.
"Optus is focused on enhancing its GSM network in New South Wales.
"To date, Optus has invested more than $536 million to roll out 1,534 mobile base stations across New South Wales, providing network coverage to 97 per cent of the state's population," Mr Hardy said.
Chris Horne, Optus World, Wagga Wagga, said, "Optus is committed to increasing its coverage in regional Australia - bringing competition and more affordable services. The new mobile facility at Forest Hill will allow local residents and rural businesses to communicate more effectively, making it easier to talk while on the go."
