Optus unveiled today its new 'yes' Business Smart plans, specifically designed to offer small and medium businesses smarter working solutions.

The new plans are a major step by Optus in the small and medium business (SMB) market to offer customers a way to incorporate their Optus mobile products and services in an uncomplicated and cost efficient way.

Stuart Tucker, Marketing Director - Optus SMB, said Optus' new plans were designed to be easily understood and straightforward to set up while imparting great value.

"We are committed to growing our share in the SMB market by offering compelling plans. They are competitively priced and even the most technologically-challenged customer can understand them," Mr Tucker said.

Optus SMB has launched three new plans that have been created to match the business size to the individual needs of the customer:

• 'yes' Business Smart Plans - designed for customers who have one to five mobile services.
  - free calls, SMS and MMS to all other mobile numbers on a customer's Optus account 24 x 7.*
  - free five minute calls to three nominated fixed line or Optus mobile numbers 24 x 7 or a customer can nominate up to five numbers if they also connect with Optus fixed and/or Optus Business DSL.
  - 10c or 11c per 30 second calls to standard mobiles or fixed line phones 24 x 7 + flagfall.
• 'yes' Business Smart 6+ Plans - designed for customers who have 6 or more mobile services
  - free calls, SMS and MMS to all other mobile numbers on a customer's Optus account 24 x 7.*
  - 30c for 10 minute calls to three nominated fixed line or Optus mobile numbers 24 x 7 or receive the same calls for 0c for 10 minutes if a customer also connects with Optus Business Fixed line and/or data services.
  - 10c or 11c per 30 second calls to standard mobiles OR fixed line phones 24 x 7 + flagfall.
• 'yes' Business Smart 20+ Plans - designed for customers who have 20 or more mobile services
  - free calls, SMS and MMS to all other mobile numbers on a customer's Optus account 24 x 7.*
  - per second billing to mobiles and fixed lines.
  - 30c for 10 minute calls to three nominated fixed line or Optus mobile numbers 24 x 7 or receive the same calls for 0c for 10 minutes if a customer also connects with Optus Business Fixed line and/or data services.

In addition Optus SMB continues to offer great value with a range of capped, BlackBerry and Optus Wireless Connect plans - to ensure it delivers on its promise of making it simple for business.

"The more our customers integrate their Optus mobile products and services, the more they save. All our plans offer Optus SmartShare - which means businesses can aggregate their account usage across their mobile 'yes' Business Smart voice services, 'yes' Business Smart mobile data services, Optus Wireless Connect and selected BlackBerry plans," Mr Tucker said.

Optus Business Smart Plans allow customers to choose between anything from a basic voice plan to a fully functioning wireless package offering blackberry and wireless internet services, making the virtual office a reality.
