New Mini Netbook offering makes doing business on the go even easier

Optus today announced a significant partnership with Hewlett-Packard (HP) Australia which will see Optus offering the HP Mini 5102 Netbook on a series of specially developed business class mobile broadband plans for small and medium business (SMB) customers1.

Giving SMB customers options tailored to their unique needs, the HP Mini 5102 Notebook will be available for $0 upfront on three innovative plans – certain to appeal to demands and desires of our SMB customers. Business customers will now be able to stay connected to the multitude of programs and functions which require internet access for full functionality; allowing them to efficiently manage their business on the go2.

Rohan Ganeson, Managing Director Optus Small and Medium Business said that the partnership would give customers business class broadband connectivity and flexibility that they demand.

"The partnership with HP combines customer service, business class mobile broadband and netbook technology to perfectly compliment the needs of the modern business person. Business customers demand a high performance, consistent mobile network with comprehensive coverage and a personal computer to match – so they can get the job done on the go," Mr Ganeson said.

Optus' business mobile broadband provides increased network performance in addition to a bevy of business specific functions. With 24 hour access to Optus' Business Mobile Broadband's IT certified mobility experts, the bundle is also pre-configured for a business mobile broadband experience on the Optus Network out-of-the-box. It also comes coupled with a two year HP pick up and return extended warranty on the HP Mini 5102 for piece of mind.

Chee-Mei Gan, Director of Product Marketing, Personal Systems Group, HP South Pacific added that HP is looking forward to working together with Optus to serve their SMB customer base.

"We're very pleased to work with Optus on this project and to bring SMB customers a tailored mobile broadband solution.

"The Optus network is the ideal partner for the HP Mini 5102, we're delighted at the opportunity to partner with Optus," Ms Gan said.

Recognising that every business is different, Optus is offering the HP Mini 5102 bundle for $0 upfront on three tailored Business Mobile Netbook Plans – each offering significant value.
